GIVING
Like any organisation, Houston & Killellan Kirk has lots of running costs, including the maintenance and upkeep of our buildings, utility bills and insurance, to name but a few!
There are several ways in which you can support the work of our Church financially, via open plate offerings during one of our services, WFO envelopes, via regular bank standing orders or by bank transfer.
We have recently added contactless giving, via a card terminal for donations at the back of the Church or you can donate online! The choice is yours – thanks in advance.
As well as having a standing order or using Freewill envelopes, you can give here online as a “one-off” donation or you can set up regular giving. You can also use “gift aid” when giving online which gives the Church a further 25% if you are a basic rate payer. Thank you so much for continuing to support the work of the Church here in Houston.

GIFT AID
All of these methods, apart from open plate giving, can be boosted via Gift Aid, which allows us to claim an extra 25p for every £1 you donate, at no extra cost to you. All you need to do is complete a Gift Aid declaration form, available here, or from Susan Findlay or a member of the Finance Team.

CHARITIES
We support a number of charities through retiral offerings (collections in Church on particular days, or at special times of the year), donations at the West Halls and through our website.
These currently include Erskine Hospital and the armed forces charity SSAFA, St Vincent’s Hospice, Scottish Huntington’s Association, Christian Aid and the Mwandi Milk Project.
In addition, we support the work of Renfrewshire Foodbank, through our weekly foodbank collections, as well as collecting warm winter clothes and gifts for the children of prisoners, which are distributed by Crossreach.
Please keep an eye on our Facebook page for updates on appeals or get in touch if you would like to help us.
THANK YOU VERY MUCH!
