Building our own Garden of Gethsemane
For Holy Week, we set up our own Garden of Gethsemane inside the Kirk, which provided a wonderful focal point for quiet prayer and reflection at this special time and was a lovely way to illustrate the Easter story.
Massive thanks to Lynne Knott from @ljkflowers for her vision and inspiration, Tryptch Studio and the Curly Coffee boys for the supply/loan of plants and Jake Fulton from Bee Happy for the rocks and manpower!
Following our Holy Communion Service on Maundy Thursday we kept the Kirk open until midnight, with folk taking time out to sit, reflect, and enjoy the peace for a few moments.
Our outdoor service, at 8am on Easter Sunday, and the 11am service of celebration were both as popular as ever.
