We were thrilled to unveil a beautiful new bench in memory of our late Minister, Revd Donald Campbell, last Sunday.

It takes pride of place in our rose garden, at the back of the Kirk, and will be a wonderful place for people to sit and enjoy the peace or take a moment for quiet reflection.

The bench was commissioned by The Wee Blether, which Donald and his wife, Liz, set up in 2007.

The group held raffles and received donations from members of the community before commissioning it from the Men’s Shed. Our thanks to them, and to David McDonald in particular, who has created such a fitting tribute to Donald.

Jack McNeil, of The Wee Blether, said: “We wanted to have a lasting reminder of Donald, and this bench is perfect.

“We were delighted to unveil it to everyone and know that it will be very well used.”
