Boys’ Brigade Celebrate Awards Success

Congratulations to 1st Houston Boys’ Brigade members Harris and Glenn, who received their President’s Badge at Sunday’s Rededication Service, and also to Robert and Robbie, who received their Queen’s Badge.

The Queen’s Badge is the highest award that can be gained by a member of  the Boys’ Brigade. It offers the chance to engage with the local community, take on responsibility, set personal goals, build self-confidence and experience a sense of achievement.

A young person must hold the President’s Badge before they can achieve the Queen’s Bage.

The President’s Badge, meanwhile, is the second highest award which can be gained by a young person in the Boys’ Brigade.

Awarded from Year 1 in the Seniors age group, requirements include gaining a core activity award, completing 2-plus nights away, or 3-plus adventure days, and 10 hours’ volunteering.

Both awards involve lots of hard work and effort – what a fantastic achievement for all four of them.

Well done!
