FANCY taking a stroll around our lovely village and the surrounding area and learning about its fascinating past at the same time?

Houston and Crosslee Historical Society have produced a brilliant walking guide and map which includes 30 different points and places of interest on a roughly circular route around the village.

The significance of each stop is explained in a series of easy to read notes within the guide – so you can learn as you go!

Copies of the History Walk are available from the Carrick Centre, Curly Coffee, the Village Paper Shop, the Kirk and St Fillan’s and are priced at just £4 each.
