New Carpet in the Kirk Looks Fabulous!

After a recent bequest we are delighted to have been able to replace the main carpet in the Kirk, at a cost of almost £10,000.
The work was carried out recently and the results really are fabulous. What a difference it has made, and just in time for the start of our 150th anniversary celebrations.
Congratulations to our Property Convenor, Jim McLaughlin for overseeing the job, and huge thanks to everyone who helped out, including the teams who removed and replaced the Chancel furniture, skipped the old carpet and cleaned up afterwards!
In other news, around £3,000 was raised to fund the removal of unsafe trees in the ground opposite the church which was gifted to us last year. This work has now been carried out and we can now progress our plans to turn this area into a garden for wider community use.
Well done everyone!
