Congregation Wishes the Noonans Well as They Head to America!

It was wonderful to see so our church so full on Sunday, as we gathered to thank Gary for all his hard work over the last five years and to wish him, Ruth, Robbie and Gregor all the very best as they head off to the USA.

Gary starts his new role as Head of Staff/Lead Pastor at First Presbyterian Church of Kirkwood, Missouri, in February.

A huge thank you to all who generously donated to the Noonan’s leaving gifts.

Gary’s presentation included a lovely picture of our Kirk, a tartan stole and a pair of cufflinks, and there were gifts for Ruth and the boys too.

Adam McCartney also presented Gary with a beautiful Scottish Cross, carved by David, on behalf of the Men’s Shed.

The cross was made using wood from pews that were originally in the Kirk when it was built 150 years ago, so a very special piece of our heritage for Gary to take across the pond as he starts this exciting new chapter.

We finished up with a musical tribute to the Noonans, composed and sung by Laura McKee.
