At the end of September we give thanks for all God’s good gifts to us.
Our Church is beautifully decorated with fruit, flowers, bread and vegetables.
We bring gifts of food which are donated to Renfrewshire Foodbank, and we deliver gifts of house plants and shortbread to ill, lonely, bereaved or housebound members of our congregation.
We will also hold a Rededication for our Boy’s Brigade and HKK Girls during this service; this is a special opportunity to mark the start of a new session for both groups.
Please note that Foodbank donations can be handed in to our Foodbank Collection Point at the West Halls (10am-12noon or 7pm-8pm) on Tuesday September 17, or brought along to our Harvest Thanksgiving Service.
At the moment, Renfrewshire Foodbank often runs out of the following items:
Cleaning products (bleach, washing up liquid, cleaning spray), cat food, tinned rice/ custard, biscuits, tinned veg (carrots, peas, sweetcorn), tinned fruit, condiments (ketchup, mayonnaise, mustard) shampoo/conditioner, deodorant, shower gel, shaving gel, and razors – so donations of these are always very welcome.
They have plenty of pasta, soup, beans and milk.
Thank you.
