Foodbank Collection Point Nets A Bumper Haul!
Congratulations and a massive thank you to the Bee Happy volunteers whose ‘Doorstep Donations’ last week yielded another huge haul of items for our Foodbank Collection Point! Thank you too to the residents of Crosslee Crescent, Hillfoot/Hillside, Back o Hill, the Neuk and surrounding areas for their generosity, and also to Jason Andrews who very kindly donated a large quantity of tinned food and other goods after the closure of the River Inn.
A big shout out to 1st Houston & Crosslee Brownies, who raised £200 when they held a charity Bingo Night recently. They decided to split the funds between Renfrewshire Toy Bank and Renfrewshire Foodbank and last week they handed 80 items in to our Foodbank Collection Point. Thank you girls, a great effort that will be much appreciated by everyone the Foodbank supports. Well Done!
As a result of all these efforts, we were able to send an amazing 32 CRATES of food and essential items to Renfrewshire Foodbank last Thursday.
And last but not least…thank you very much to The Old Course Ranfurly Golf Club: this week the Ladies Section Captain handed several bags of food in to our collection point as well as a large bag of Christmas Gifts for prisoners’ children.
Thank you so much everybody – together we can make a difference this Christmas, and help to spread some festive cheer!
