A massive thank you to everyone who kindly donated gifts for prisoners’ children over the last few weeks.

We handed over about 100 bags of gifts to CrossReach, the social care arm of the Church of Scotland, at our Gift Service yesterday (December 10th) and once again, they were delighted to receive so many items which will make a real difference to the children and families they work with.

Morag from CrossReach said a heartfelt thank you to the congregation and explained that prisoners will be able to hand the presents to their children at special Christmas parties on December 18th and 19th.

She finished by quoting from Amanda Gorman’s poem, The Hill We Climb: “For there is always light, if only we’re brave enough to see it.
If only we’re brave enough to be it,” adding “Thank you all for being that light to our families.”
